Googlefails – Don’t You Love ‘Em?

As much as I hate to gloat, I think the recent rash of googlefails (including yesterday, today) ties nicely into my ongoing battle to convince people to avoid a google-centric life.  If you’ve been using google for as long as you remember, you might try searching with yahoo today.  I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the experience.

  1. Many of us are dieing for a better answer to search than Google, but Yahoo is so choked by ads you have to scroll every time you search just to see more than 1 domain in the results.

Google has a lots of ads as well, but you can still see the top 4-5 results. Yahoo’s page also gives its users a head-ache every time they open it to search. If I want news from google I can use igoogle. But if I’m tired of news about how many women david letterman slept with, my only choice is to avoid yahoo.

Yahoo just doesn’t understand that people don’t want news and landing page advertisements shoved down their throats.

Yahoo is still stuck in the 20th century.
