A fair benchmark took place after few days of this one in Phoronix again and it showed that Ubuntu 64 beats osx in the most aspects and even in multimedia. And I think Mark Shuttleworth was trying to say that there should be a non-geeky way of describing Linux and making it sound as interesting as it is, but obviously he'll need to address that comment. I remember a few years ago, Canonical signed all sorts of agreements with big open-source-supporting companies, and we've never really seen those agreements become fruitful collaborations.
